Jessamine Zylphia Bardell
The youngest scullery maid, Jessamine is often mistaken for a house spirit herself. Pale and wide-eyed with a mop of ash-blond hair, she claims to have been “kissed by moonlight” as a child and has the odd ability to predict when guests will arrive. Jessamine spends her nights scribbling poems in soot on the backs of flour sacks and has a fondness for talking to the pots. She does her work with eerie quietness but is beloved for her gentle heart and strange, comforting presence. Bee watches over her like a protective hen.
