Chapter 16: Sekhmet's Revenge II

The fight against the Avatar of Sekhmet concludes when Amon is defeated and Jazelle shoots him before he can escape. The mansion is destroyed around them in a huge blast. Amon realizes that the Avatar was his father, Samaan.

Lupe investigates the Void and runs into a Voidling, corrupted soul wisps, and a fate eater. He starts experimenting with uncorrupting a soul wisp for consumption.   Sekhmet takes control of Kit and sleeps with Amon, taunting him. Kit and Amon both have crises of faith. Lupe offers to awaken Kit, and tells Amon, Sofia, Lurch, and Arbane about the true nature of the gods.   Sofia resolves to go to the Detalam and Sera stops her. Lupe reveals who Sera really is and that Sammael is not to be trusted.   Sera remembers that she programmed most of the Seraphiim to be open to her ideas, making her ultimately responsible for their destruction. She reveals to Lupe that she has become pregnant, with twins.
