The opening arc ends with the party capturing Brunos, cutting the head off the Reavers to replace it with the more amenable Kristoff. Afterwards, their ally in the endeavor, Myr, reveals herself to be, in actuality, the supposedly dead princess, Selena, of the Seraphiim Dominion. Arbane then spends some time attempting to "tame the shrew".

Book 2 - Chapter 10
The party scouts the sewers with the help of Arbane, looking for a hidden way into Brunos' lair. Finding a secret tunnel from the brothel across the street, they plan to go in the next night. Checking in with his knowledgeable contact, Myr, she offers to help get them into Brunos' without bloodshed or trouble, in exchange demanding a kiss from Arbane. He obliges and she helps them capture Brunos the following night. Bringing him back to the Plain Cup, they execute him and take his head for Kristoff to bring back with him. Afterwards, Myr reveals herself to be Selena Sarandreshi Or-Tal, supposedly dead princess of the Seraphiim Dominion. She offers to let the group help restore her to her throne, and strike back against her father, Seraphus.   Arbane takes a blood sample from Selena and has it confirmed with his uncle as genuine, who wants to march into Demophoneia to retrieve her. Arbane convinces him to hold, and let him become her bodyguard. In a haphazard night of attempting to contend with the seemingly insane and sociopathic princess, Arbane is able to convince her to allow him to be her bodyguard, and starts to learn her story. Over the week, he deals with her various shades of personality, watches her work as she acquires information around the city, and eventually convinces her to let him be her friend after reading her personal journal. Bringing his uncle, Captain Elam Sagiv of the Crimson Guard, to meet her, they have an intense encounter before Sagiv is, once again, convinced to back off and let Arbane handle the princess for the time being.
