Description

Selena was born in the capitol city of the Seraphiim Dominion, Raleem, in 3879, to Vermina Sarandreshi and Seraphus Or-Tal, signifying the union of the Archduchy of Demophon into the Dominion after millennia of alliance and political ties. Her mother was the second wife of Seraphus, her two older brothers, Arkaan and Sajiv, in line for the Dominion's Bare Throne.

In 3899, Selena was arranged to marry one of the sons of the Mismatean Emperor, a Dominatus named Kaeso Primulus. She was relocated to the capital of the Empire in Mismaten city, and treated poorly by her husband. She bore him one son, a half-Elven boy named Mercutius.

In 3901, assassins attacked their cliffside villa, killing Kaeso and their infant son. Selena threw herself out a window into the frozen river far below and miraculously survived. Despite this, spies of the Dominion reported her death and the Seraphi-Mismatean War was declared by her father soon after, in revenge for his daughter's death and to check the aggressive power of the Empire.

Sometime during the Seraphi-Mismatean War in her name, Selena impersonated a young man and enlisted in the Seraphi Army. She later deserted and found her way to Demophon.
Selena has been in Demophon for some unknown amount of time, apparently making contacts and amassing a wealth of information in the hopes of quietly ousting the military governor and reclaiming the Archduchy for herself by birthright of her dead mother.
