Objective
Test the Jim's newest weapon, A Zorky of Mass Destruction
Observations
We had an observer from the Lord's Alliance, Storm Silverhand.
Also a guide from Capitol, Talla
Follow up
Continue to not fuck up while the observers are around.
Preparation Details
Operation Details
We were tasked with testing a new weapon for the JIms. We teleported to the Capitol Embassy. Where we met the observer from the Lord's Alliance, Marchioness Storm Silverhand.
We were also assigned a guide to the test location Talla.
The test weapon was contained in an actual coffin. And to transport it we were assigned the recently created Orc Erik. Jim's instructions were:
wear a brass amulet to control Orc Erik.
use Orc Erik to haul the weapon to the test area.
Open the box put the amulet on the weapon
hit the weapon in the nose.
Xion wisely observed the putting the amulet on the weapon would likely put Orc Erik under the weapon's control. As a precaution, we put Orc Erik in manacles prior to activating the weapon.
We opened the weapon to find... a Zorky. Following orders we put the amulet on Zorky and punched him in the nose.
This triggered Zorky's tactical response. He became demonstrated possession of high level magic such as freezing time and flight. Also some sort of fire shield, and counterspell. He did indeed have control over Orc Erik, but with him being manacled, he was truly unable to pose much of a threat in the conflict, and was even absorbed by the Zorky in an attempt preserve itself.
We fought and dispatched the Zorky of mass destruction.
No one even fell unconscious and dispatched the weapon.
I would say positive relations made with both Talla and the Marchioness.
On return to Embassy, we encountered a boy dressed like an old man with a pipe who went by Zigzacks the Very Very Wise, setting up a magic show. (Parlor tricks and sleight of hand)
Valas couldn't see anything arcane. Though clearly young, seemed to be acting alone but he is aware of the camp and had a message to be delivered to Sketch or Gixxy?
We recommended to Talla to have Capitol Guards keep an eye on the location during their patols. But no clear evidence of actual danger. More mischief than anything.
We returned to Embassy and Taylor (Embassy host and butler?) seems to be a connected individual and agreed to keep eyes and ears open for a few pieces of information for the party members on an individual level.
