Objective

Investigate the other side of the fey portal located in the Hickorydale church.
  Eliminate threats.

Observations

-Personnel of Hickorydale seem more like puppets than people. Limited vocabulary and commonly repeated. Sentences often spoken with words out of order.
-Specifically looked by several religious soldiers and the church has NO religious iconography. It too seems to be more a stage than a house of worship.

Follow up

If mages have the spell and energy after a mission. Erik would recommend securing the Hickorydale Teleport chamber with stoneshaped doors.

  Fey Navigation
  -Compasses don't work,
  -overcast negated sun navigation
*Bring Chalk & Charcoal to mark signs on trees etc to keep path.

Operation Details

We teleported to Hickorydale. TP Chamber seems to be in a basement beneath a soldiers outpost. Only 2 soldiers, 1 Captian and one guard. Observations noted a stark LACK of weapons in the outpost. Both parties were as described, more like puppets with short scripts than people.

Proceeded to church. Again no holy symbols, no iconography, no holy texts, no hymnals.
Never have I encountered a temple before that didn't clearly honor the god it was dedicated to. Again, it feels fake and staged.
The priest there was similar to the other two. Puppet with limited dialoged.

  Proceeded to the fey wild.
*Important note* (As Erik was aware of Rule #1, these were literally notes written in the Fey.)
  Fey Navigation
  -Compasses don't work,
  -overcast negated sun navigation
*used Chalk & Charcoal to mark signs on trees etc to keep path.

Encountered a goblin candy salesman. Seems decent enough.
  Candy is bug filled.
Several party members bought some just to keep positive relations with them.

There was a darkness in the fey. We proceeded into the heart of it. After sometime walking through the woods we encountered a clear path with an ancient pond shaped like a footprint
(a person could lay in one). Path cleared from, guessing a giant? Their path was perpendicular to our direction of walking.

Encountered a collection of wanted posters
all about same boy with afro hair. Rewards listed: love, youth, etc.
Collected one and included with report.

  Continued moving through deepest darkness.
Encountered a circle of 5 thrones with dark foresty beings.
They threw necrotic damage, which actually was in favor of our party.
The five beings had some form of necrotic tendril connecting them to something beneath the ground under a sigil of three spirals collected at the tails.
After killing the Forest beings we dug and discovered some form of necrotic living flesh mass. We cleared a open area above it an used a radiant moonbeam to kill it.
Collected samples of the charred dirt from the area and water of the area.

No signs of the haunting on return.
