Desolara Verge

Desolara Verge is a large sprawling region at the edge of the Empire of Earths territory, the region at the edge of Imperial rule and the untamed frontier.
The Desolara Verge is both a treasure trove of resources and a powderkeg as the population in the region views the Empire with mistrust and for the most part just want to be left alone, some officials have described it as a powderkeg of rebellion and identified it as the most likely place for a rebellion to start as the Imperial control is limited due to the distance from the Imperial core, even the colonies labelled as the outer colonies are several lightyears from the Verge.

Geography

The region is named after the most notable system there, the Desolara, a sun-like start with a few harsh, resource-rich planets. The Verge covers a few dozen star systems.
In the Desolora system, the planet known as Desolora Prime is a rocky planet with vast deposits of rare metals and minerals. The surface of the planet is mountainous, with countless open mines and around the equator, deserts of grey sand.
The Naros Belt: A dense asteroid belt is suspected to be the remnants of a planet destroyed sometime during the formation of the system. it is only partially charted and is known to wreak havoc on the navigational systems. The belt is home to a few known rebel bases as well as at least one secret black site belonging to the Imperial secret service.
Lykara’s Veil: A nebula on the edge of the region, it shrouds several of the star systems in dense ionized gases, while it's not possible to see it with the naked eye, using special goggles makes it possible to see the nebula in all its glory.
