Shedina

Servant of Time (a.k.a. Zorille)

"The Servant of Time. It is said that there was once a stoat, who reincarnated from a mouse. According to them, they were given a second life for their patience in the first, waiting by the same fruit tree for the loose nuts and fruit to fall from the canopies to the ground... until the day they died. Their beliefs of reincarnation were held until they became Vite's Champion."
---An entry from Ke'tlan's journal of Solarian Mythos

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Caduceus

A snake-wrapped pole for a mustelid is unusual, but intentional. The two snakes are said to resemble both life and death, and the central pole is supposed to resemble a figure: in this case, Zorille. In both of their lives, a snake was seen as a predator to them. Even now, as Champion, they are said to be the direct rival of Lilith.

The Metal Acorn

In reference to Zorille's past life as a mouse, the metal acorn symbolizes patience: after all, it takes a long time for a seed to grow into a tree. Sometimes, this acorn is changed to a clover, to directly reference a tree: in either case, they sometimes appear on human card decks as either the Ace of Clubs or the Deuce of Acorns.

Tenets of Faith

  1. Create yourself a routine: having something to look forward to will put you at ease.
  2. Do things carefully: rushing can turn even the greatest of efforts into someing lesser.
  3. Show patience with others, as well as yourself: not everything can happen with speed.
  4. Live each day like it is your last: find fulfillments in every day, whether they be big or small.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

To test humanity, is Zorille's ultimate goal. How they go about it is indirect: they don't seem to stay in the same place for long, but when they are found, they are seen meditating atop a tree. It is said that Zorille is sought out by the sentient races that live within the forests of Enyo as a spiritual teacher, directing one's path of reincarnation. A rarity among the Minor Deities, Zorille is pacifistic, preferring an out-of-combat approach to conflict.   Like Lilith, the Serpent of Kani, Zorille one experienced life as a normal sentient Being, but when a Tribute to the Gods went wrong, and divine intervention prevented their death, they transformed, gaining a new time-resistant form. Unlike the other Deities of Vite, once Zorille dies, there will never be another one like them. They may have their role replaced someday, but that role may be filled by someone entirely different from them.

History

They both met at random when Zorille saw Lilith within the Helian Ruins on one of their nomadic walks. The stoat asked the serpent what was wrong; They obliged, and explained Their circumstance.
Zorille consoled the stressed Lilith, and that is when the two of them learned of their roles for the world. The stoat agreed to lend an ear out to Them whenever they were able to.

Relationship Reasoning

Both of them were granted deity status within a century of each other, Zorille being the older of the two. As they parallel one another, their rivalry is widely known within Human societies.

Shared Acquaintances

Both of them are connected with the Nature Guardian, who acts as their carrier of information. Since the area beyond the wall is rather dangerous, this is the only way that Lilith is able to contact Their friend.
