Session 16: Aftermath Report
General Summary
Exhausted, the party reconviened to bury thier allies Lucian Arrgentis and Father Benidictus. Lavinia spoke at the Funeral of Father Benidictus directing the Aetern followers of the faith including Paet Mason to focus on the evils beyond the here and now. To stand against the shadow as Benidictus did.
They reconviened with an old friend Caelen Wildwood and recruited sailors for the Windborne to be head up by Caldwyn a trained navigator and first-mate.
The party persuaded Caelen to meet wtih Paet and form a ruling council of Eldonians of mulitple faiths and to push for Dunwell indpendence from both the The Nordring Pactand The Aeternus Imperium.
Marcus began work on some forging. Getting 75/ 350 in progress. And welcomed Sato back to Dunwell. Training with Master Sato , he discovered a pathway to smithing that uses his rage and giant's runes.
Lavinia spent some downtime telling the story of thier party, which is now firmly in the mind of the public as the Umbra - Nex or Shadowbane, named after the heros of legend Umbra-Nex / The Shadowbane which stood against evil in the days after the Great Confligration. Encouraging a telling of the tale which focused on the unity and commonality of man vs demon, attempting to reduce tensions between factions in town.
The Session ended as the party paid passage on a riverboat up to Stonewood to look for Livia Magnus and any additional evidence of the work of the The Abyssal Shadow.
