S7: What Lies Beneath Report

General Summary

Continuing in the area underneath the city of Dunwell, the party discovered the cave turned into a built ruin made of sturdy stone. They ran into a few traps, and cutting through the area to a built in door and then the Statue room, the party found a camp of 3 guards set to guard another large room. Slaying 2 and holding one unconcious for questioning. They scouted ahead where they found a room of terror.
In the room they discovered 3 hellish pillars, a pentagram and a 3 sacrificed grown men. A crumpled body of a child in the pentagram and one little girl held in manicles with paltinum blonde hair. Ash saved the little girl, Marcus saved the girl in the Pentagram, who was the homeless Eifer girl they met on session 1, with a very lucky role on its part. Lavinia found the Codex of Corruption on a nearby desk.
The questioned guard said they were not disserters but rather placed in the area to guard the room by the govenor Lucius Magnus himself! He said they had not slept in a very-very long time and that they were unsure how long they'd been down here or how often or how many people came to visit, though they did remember Reyes.
The Quasitalian, the metamophized Quasit creature they'd fought twice then entered the area in his bat form. Surprised at finding the adventurers there, they began to battle and he'd raised 3 corpses to fight at his side. The group struggled to pin the creature who called himself Nergalresh who used hell-ish magic on them to remain illusive before they could pin him down. He tried to take Marcus and Lavinia with him in his last moments after fleeing didn't work and was able to down Lavinia before Vass could sabilize her. The party was triumphant and avenged Mosstone, the 3 unknown men and the girls, slaying the Quasitalian before it could escape. In its death throws promsing to return and bring them all to hell.
