Yuddeva

Yuddeva is the highest attainable officer rank in the Savaarsena, ranked immediately above general, but not exercised in the regular army structure. It is a largely ceremonial or wartime rank, only awarded when one general rises high above the achievements of their peers, being regarded as a military leader on par with The Lord of the Sun himself.
The Yuddeva is the only voice that can challenge the High King Banpour in military matters, even able to override the king's decisions when in the field. This power is the reason Yuddeva is not a title given out lightly, only in cases of dire need or exceptional candidates.
