Strahzoy
The standard soldiers of Tiarovich, the Strahzoy are renowned for their endurance. Able to keep marching through bitter cold and over incredible distance. All with their masks in place.
Composition
Manpower
Operating in divisions that are considered small by modern military standards, the standard Strahzoy Division consists of 10,000 men. They do, however, operate with several other divisions in almost every instance.
Equipment
By contemporary equipment standards, the Strahzoy's kit would be considered heavy. Not due to their weapons, which would be considered standard rifles and machine guns, but what is needed to keep them alive in the cold temperatures of their nation. Furred coats heavily enchanted against the cold and wind (thus increasing their weight a great deal), along with boots and gloves with enough protection to let them keep their fingers and toes.
Weaponry
Since there is very little cover in the ice wastes, the Strahzoy prefer to fight at range with their rifles. On a clear day, at least.
Should a snowstorm or blizzard come into the area (summoned or otherwise), you'll suddenly find the masked Tiarovi putting their Khanjali knives to excellent effect.
Vehicles
The deep snow of the waste, not to mention the risk of cracking through ice thinned out by the scrapping of Frost-keening whales, prohibits the deployment of many modern military vehicles.
Rail systems take much longer to deploy, as they have to sink supports deep into the permafrost. Hardskins and walkers are too much work to be deployed as they sink deep into the snow and are difficult to retrieve.
That leaves only wide-tread tanks able to deploy with any regularity. These also serve as troop transports and supply vehicles, in times of need or great hurry.
Structure
Their command structure has been reorganized to a modern standard. However, like many modern nations, nobles work their way into the command structure whether or not they are deserving.
Training
Regarded as brutal in the grand scheme of things, their training involves a great deal of endurance training. Spending time in the cold and the wind, and moving through thick liquids to mimic slushy water and waste deep snow.
