Grandma Rags
Talked about like every other myth and folk figure, Granny Rags is said to be the defacto guide to the Veilani people. No one's ever seen her before, of course, but every single one of them has their own story about her.
Summary
There is no origin to Grandma Rags. No myth about how she came to be nor where she was born. She merely is.
And what she is the dotting and wise guardian and guide to the Veilani. Said to look like every grandmother all rolled into one. Greyhaired and gnarled and shortened with age, no one would think her to be of any threat. But don't you dare think that she isn't a danger to anyone who threatens her people.
Where there is no origin to Grandma Rags, there is one to the first Veilani caravans. Centuries ago, the outcasts of Freischutze , Shaola, Tir Na Nog, Avalon, and every other nation started getting visits from the mysterious figure of Grandma Rags. She introduced herself with a myriad of names. Mother Nobody, Sister Solitude, Mãe Sozinha, each conforming to the culture that surrounded them.
With every visit, she gave the same instruction.
Leave. If these people won't stand for you and accept your gifts, leave their company and make them feel the loss of yours. Follow me, and I will guide you to a life of freedom and self-determination.
Once she left, those she would visit would feel her in the back of their minds. A reassuring presence as they gathered up their meager belongings and found the others that had met Grandma Rags. Buying up some carts, they set out with the wind at their back and watched over by Grandma Rags.

To the Veilani, Grandma Rags is both a real person and a mystical figure. Outside of the Veilani, she is a figure from folklore. The source of curses and stolen children, though the Veilani will dispute those sorts of claims till the ends of the earth.
