Personal history

Childhood
Rebel grew up in a gypsy camp, but was kicked out at the age of twelve when it was discovered his mom had had an affair with a wizard. (Gypsies and magic-users are not good friends, but that's a story for another time.)

Rebel was left to fend for himself in the harsh mountains, at that time called Mahra. There through the eternal winter Rebel learned magic. He tested different plants to see what potions they would make. He tried practicing spells with old words, and laid the foundation for the modern wizardry spells.

Growing the Rebellion
It was only years later when he finally left the Mahra mountains. And it was several more years before the wizarding community was able to discover the spells and potions he had created. During this time, a new king had come to the throne and had issued a decree, simply stating that every magic-user was to be found and brought before him to be judged for various crimes.

Rebel heard of this and started making waves in the wizarding community. He gained trust, became friends with the right people. (Growing up with gypsies he knew how to read people quite well.)

Because of him the wizarding community grew under him, even non-magic users started to see him as a good man. However, his spells were not as popular as they are now. And many wizards still said lenghty and wordy spells to make sure the required affect was given.

The Rebellion
Rebel trained as many wizards as he could, but some were stubborn and preferred to stick to the old ways, but he waited and bided his time. He watched the king and learned his habits and tells. He taught the wizards and expanded their magical knowledge.

Rebel knew he only had one shot to launch a rebellion. The king had the support of most of the people, as well as the surrounding countries not to mention hundreds of men. However, once he had launched the coup and the rebellion had begun it failed. There had been a spy, and the king knew long before the coup had ever happened that a coup was going to happen.

Rebel had been training non-magic users in the wizardry ways, but he had trusted his beliefs too much, and in the end they betrayed him.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Rebel is the first wizard to gain world wide recognition for his spells. Because of their simplicity and linguistic base their popularity grew quickly. His spell books creating the base for modern wizarding spells

His book of potions usuing regular items found in nature and houses grew quickly too. Making spells easier for wizards and the like to perform.

Rebel led a rebellion, and the only rebellion that had a chance of succeeding.

Morality & Philosophy

Rebel does not take kindly to bulies. During his time in the gypsy camp when his magic grew more and more obvious many people spoke badly about him, spread horrible rumors, and ostracized him from various games and events.

He also believes that there is no one incapable of magic. If you mix a series of plants just right it becomes magic. And if you put a person in a certain situation, they could perform magic.
