Latex Day
Latex Day is the great festival of the Church of Larissa that is held each year in all cities and villages with a church of the religion. The day is split into three parts and begins early in the morning.
At the start of the day, before the sun rises, members of the church and all guests who wish, gather outside the city. When the sun rises, they will begin a great parade through the whole city. During the parade, they will give out latex clothes and trap visitors in the magical latex balloons of their goddess. Priestesses are positioned everywhere in the parade and take care that all visitors are enjoying it. You can see living latex animals, members of the church, and often popular hunters like the Balloon Foxes. The parade generally reaches the prepared festival area somewhere inside the city around midday or early afternoon.
The second stage of the festival is the gathering. During the whole afternoon, you can visit the festival area to enjoy games like "Balloon Escape", enjoy a float inside a balloon, or receive latex clothes that are personally made just for you and fit perfectly. Food and drinks are sold at a normal price to all visitors, but be careful as playful members of the church often hide little pranks inside the food, like inflation potions or different animal transformation potions. Depending on the hunters that visit the festival, there are often bigger games like organized hunts through the city in which the participants must try to avoid being caught by the hunters. Priestesses often chose visitors and ask them if they want to try being the hunter as well. If they agree, they will receive a Latex Pendant of Larissa, with which they can summon and control the magical balloons of the goddess themselves to hunt other visitors.
The final happening of Latex Day is the Latex Sky event. In a big ritual, the Priestesses of the church will summon as many balloons from the void as they can and require to trap everyone on the festival in one of the balloons. After every person, including the priestesses themselves, is trapped, the balloons will gather in the sky above the city. The sigh is mesmerizing, as, in big cities, thousands of colorful balloons will fill the sky. The trapped people will enjoy the view over their city and can just relax as the sun vanishes behind the horizon. The balloons are big enough to allow everyone to lie down inside and sleep, as they will stay in them for the whole night. They also hold a warm temperature to prevent anyone from feeling cold or uncomfortable. When the sun rises again, the balloons will float their guests home or to any place they wished to be carried to. This marks the end of the yearly festival of Latex Day.

History
The Latex Day was designed as a grant festival to show the population that there is nothing to fear from the Church of Larissa. They wanted to show off their best tricks and bring joy to the people. Before this day, there were still resentments in the population against the church and their tries to conquer cities and take control over whole areas by force.
The Latex Day was hold at the 5th of October 2021, the international balloon day of Earth.
To the surprise of many, the festival was a huge success. Far more people than planned joined the parades through the city of Neueisen and the designated area to hold the celebrations were far too small. In cooperation with the government of Queendom of Slimea a free field outside of the city was rented to hold the festival there.
In the weeks after the festival, the membership size inflated by over 80%, nearly doubling the number of believers before the festival. New churches around the country had to be bought or constructed to give all new members access to the church's benefits.
As the anniversary of Latex Day came in 2022, the church decided to make it a yearly ritual to hold Latex Day. While in 2021 and 2022, Latex Day was only celebrated in Neueisen, in the following years more and more cities with Churches of Larissa joined the yearly rituals and hold their own Latex Day celebrations.
Execution
The Latex Day is organized by the Church of Larissa and their priestesses. They do not only pay for all required personnel and items but also prepare the festival weeks ahead. Depending on the city and the nation, they also receive help from the government in the form of cultural support. It is not uncommon that hunters like the Balloon Foxes to join the execution of the festival and help out with planning, organization, and finally the execution of the Latex Day.
Components and tools
Latex Day celebrates all usages of Latex. During the festival, the priestesses of Larissa will offer all guests and visitors bodysuits, gloves, scarfs, boots, pants, jackets, and other cloth articles made out of Larissa's magical latex. The guests are allowed to take their new clothes home and do not need to give them back at the end of the festival. After each Latex Day, the amount of latex clothes in the populations of the cities grows.
The goal is that every guest enjoys wearing the tight, but also very soft and smooth latex of the goddess. Differently to private sessions in the churches, there is no sexualization of the latex on this day as it is designed for all members of the population, no matter their age or personality. The latex clothes look similar to normal clothes and are colorful and comfortable to wear. Due to the magical properties of the latex, the skin can breathe under the material but is also protected from cold weather and rain. Especially latex jackets are popular.
The other tool that is used on the Latex Day are balloons from the Balloon Void. They are used as travel services around the town, but also for fun activities like playful hunts or escape games in which the goal is to not end inside of one of the balloons. Especially the games are very popular in the younger parts of guests.
Of course, the balloons also play a central role in the final stage of the festival, the Latex Sky.
Participants
All are invited to join the festival, no matter their age or if they are members of the Church of Larissa or not.
As special guests, hunters who use balloons or latex toys in general often are invited by the priestesses of the Church. They hold their own little games during the day to entertain not only themselves but also all participants. Especially the prophets of the church join the festivals yearly and are receiving as much support for their ideas as they require.
Each year, the Goddess of Latex Larissa Mueller will choose one city in which the Latex Day is held. Then she will possess one of her priestesses there and join the celebrations personally. It is a great honor for the city to have the goddess as a guest. During her stay, the goddess blesses all guests and fulfills their wishes. It is not uncommon that these blessings end in latex transformations or the recruitment of new priestesses for the church.
Observance
Latex Day is celebrated each year on the 5th of October in many cities around the world. The biggest festival is hold in Neueisen.
