Item Categorization
The PMA categorizes items into one of 4 groups. While all items are researched and contained for a certain period of time, it depends on the categorization if they will later become publicly available again or not.A - Safe
Items that are seen as Safe, or Open, are generally given to the free market or the finder of the item. The researchers found no danger in the item and see it as nothing that requires further observation or contamination.B - Observance
If an item is relatively safe but may be misused, it is placed under Observance. This means that, while it is given to the free market, or the finder of the item, the PMA will register all usages and the current owner of the item at all times. Sellers are required to register the new owner at the PMA. The PMA holds the right to control the item and its correct usage.C - Mild Danger
These items that are seen as potentially dangerous in the wrong hands are C. Such items are only used and given out to trusted personnel or trusted hunters of the Hunter's Guild. While they have beneficial usages, in the wrong hands, these items are dangerous. Outside of times of usage, these items are contained inside PMA facilities.D - Danger
Dangerous items are permanently contained and have high restrictions on usage and research. Such items are either dangerous for their environment or too powerful to be used. While the public is informed about the existence of these items, the exact place of storage and further detailed information are under strict secrecy.Structure
Led by a Director Council, the PMA is overseen by the Queendom of Slimea and the Federation of Slimea, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives. The organization is divided into three specialized branches, each directed by a dedicated leader, with decisions made by a simple majority vote within the council.
The Containment Branch manages secure facilities and oversees the transportation and containment of magical items, ensuring public safety by preventing accidental activations. The Research Branch conducts comprehensive studies to understand the properties and potential applications of these items, determining if they can benefit society or should be locked away. The Observation Branch monitors items in the field, gathering critical information to support containment and research efforts.
Public Agenda
The clear goal of the PMA is to categorize all pink mist related items and then decide if they are contained, researched, or given to the society for beneficial usage.
Assets
The PMA operates facilities in all nations of the Federation of Slimea, most of them in the Slimean Lands. These facilities are designed for maximal security and allow permitted research on contained items. The biggest of these facilities is in Neueisen and forms the headquarters.
With over ten thousand researchers and even more supporting roles, the organization has a vast number of personnel.
History
The PMA was founded in 2024 for the purpose of researching pink mist related activities and items. The process of forming the organization took longer than anticipated, and the PMA could only begin their full operations in 2026.
Since then, they work hand in hand with local reporters, police officers, and agents of Hidden Eyes to ensure that all pink mist related items are found, categorized, and potentially contained if necessary.
