Second Mind Collective
"One Body, Two Lives" is the motto of this small but highly controversial group. The Second Mind Collective is devoted to the protection, reproduction, and awareness of the Vek-7 Parasites . Formed by a combination of sympathetic Glyceans, Humans, and post-adaption Vek-7 Parasites, this group has gained significant attention from concerned authorities since its founding.
While the history of the Vek-7 parasites is one of war and violence with the Karhakkhas' Queendom, Second Life seeks to reshape the public image of these beings through a lens of charity, understanding, and donation. Members of the collective accompany young Vek-7s on their developmental pilgrimages, join local events to increase visibility, and sometimes go door to door in search of willing body donors. The location of their main operation is unknown, but it is clear that they base out of The Local Alliance faction.
In order to live lives of peace and community with their neighbors, the Vek-7 population finds itself completely at the mercy of those other species whose bodies would allow them to live as sapient beings. It is in our interests to seek ways in which this young and growing society might find a place for themselves among the rest of us travelling the stars.
