Earth
Earth! The beloved home planet of humanity. Defined by it's striking oceans and enormous moon, this planet has a history of drastic climate changes and wild seasons.
Ecology:
Earth is largely a water world, with most of it's biomass confined to the oceans. Unlike other ocean worlds, Earth's rocky surface is also rich with terrestrial life, including the sentient Humans. Temperate, earth's tilted axis brings varied seasons to those that live away from its equator. Much of Earth's life revolves around these seasons and as such can be both sensitive to changes in the cycle and unusually hardy in the face of novelty. The surface landmass of earth is divided into a handful of large continents each with their own distinct ecology and culture.History:
Earth is the cradle of Humanity, and has been host to life since far before their rise. During Humanity's rise, the climate of Earth drastically changed due to the industrial influences of human technology. Despite their ability to influence the climate, Humanity struggled to control this influence up until their pre-space age. This made lasting impacts on the biodiversity and biomes of their home planet, but with advancements in science Earth is now home to a carefully balanced biome similar to how it was in the early days of man. Much of humanity has left earth to live among the stars, but those that remain take great pride in the history of their planet, and benefit greatly from interstellar tourism.Locations:
