Captain Lucas Temonius, MI was once just an unknown second lieutenant in charge of G Company, 4th Platoon who had mediocre scores from OCS and wasn't pegged as anyone special by his assessing officer during his time as a third lieutenant, merely that he was a good leader of men who could manage a platoon and obey orders. But that was until G Company was seconded to an Inquisitor and took place in an assault on a Chaos held world. It was here he proved that the MI to make heroes.
A renegade hellhound was bearing down on his company and knowing that, if it was allowed to fire its cannon, the unholy flames would decimate the Imperial force, Temonius ran at the heretical tank, ignorant of his own safety, and sent his power fist through the side of the tank, starting a chain reaction within that saw the vehicle catastrophically explode, without it having a chance to fire its weapon. Temonius then, after escaping the blast, identified a Chaos bike squadron bearing down on the flank his platoon was on. He charged them and engaged them, destroying all three of the cursed bikers and their machines. His men were inspired by such violent acts of righteousness and instantly fought harder as to not disgrace their leader.
The Inquisitor was impressed also and, after the conflict was over and Temonius had been declared free from Chaotic taint, not only did the priests of the Inquisitor's retinue bless the power fist, fixing the trademark purity seal visible on the weapon, but the Inquisitor petitioned Command HQ to commend Temonius for his actions and so, Lucas Temonius went from obscurity to Captain of Imperia Company and became the first person from Third Regiment to receive the Steel Aquila and the household name seen on recruitment posters around the Kuati Confederation.

The Fist of Temonius - Since its blessing by Ecclesiarchy priests, the power fist carried by Captain Temonius has become his trademark and has been named by the Troopers of 3rd Regiment as the "Fist of Temonius", bringing with it a distinct morale boost (although, many put this down to the officer himself), but the blessings made over it and sacred oils it was bathed in have noticeable effects when it's bearer engages with any heretical chaos worshipper.
