Backgrounds
Background represents what life and society are like where your character is from.Rustic
Rustic folk live in the wilds, either alone or in small villages. Often tribal, rustic peoples live off the land, depending on their knowledge and experience for survival.
Provincial
Provincial folk live in rural communities, surrounded by nature, yet living with many conveniences. Provincial communities may be smaller settlements on the outskirts of larger cities within nations, or independant towns found on out-of-the-way islands throughout Skysea.
Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitan folk live in large cities which are either part of nations, or are city-states themselves. Cosmopolitan peoples are more knowledgeable of worldly matters, but generally less capable of survival outside of the city.
Shipborn
Shipborn folk live their whole lives aboard skyships. They may come ashore occasionally, most often to trade or otherwise conduct business, but the majority of their time is spent traveling the open skies.
