Birthsign
Every hero is born under a certain sign. There are thirteen named constellations in the sky. There are three Guardian signs; The Warrior, The Mage, and The Thief, each of which protects three charges. Each of these twelve signs corresponds to one of the twelve months in the Tamrielic year. The thirteenth sign, The Serpent, has no guardian or month and moves around the sky, usually threatening the other signs.
When creating a character, a player should roll 2d12 and consult the following table to determine the character’s birthsign. The player can then choose between the options generated by the numbers rolled. For instance, if a player rolls 3 and 5, they can choose between the Lord and the Shadow.
If a player rolls the same number on both dice, they can choose between the birthsign corresponding to the roll and the Serpent.
