The land of Skyrim teeters on the edge of ruin.
The Empire, once the unshakable power of Tamriel, is crumbling. Years ago, the Great War with the Aldmeri Dominion ended with the signing of the White-Gold Concordat, a treaty that outlawed the worship of Talos, the god-hero of mankind. To the High Elves of the Dominion, it was a victory. To many Nords, it was an unforgivable betrayal. Tensions boiled over when Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak, a powerful warrior and leader of the rebellion, challenged High King Torygg of Skyrim to a duel. With a single mighty Shout, Ulfric struck the king down, setting the province ablaze in civil war.
Now, Skyrim is divided. Some fight for the Empire, believing unity is the only path to survival. Others rally behind Ulfric, demanding Skyrim’s freedom—even if it means bloodshed. Cities fortify their gates. Armies march. No hold is truly safe from the conflict.
But war is not the only danger. Bandits roam unchecked, ancient evils stir beneath forgotten ruins, and whispers speak of Thalmor agents—elven operatives working in the shadows to keep the province weak and divided. The wilds grow restless, as if some unseen force looms on the horizon.
These are dark times, but where there is chaos, there is also opportunity. Whatever fate has in store, one thing is certain…
Skyrim will never be the same again.
