"An aquired taste, an insatiable hunger, and the thrill of the hunt. These are the birth of the Gula-...
...-Cannibalistic in nature, the ancient draconic being once and currently known as Haimmar was well known during their time as a heartless and insatiable killer that fed on the corpses of his many victims. -Children of Pain
Not well known, and generally difficult to discern by those not familiar with the dragonfolk, Gula teiflings are considered by many to be a childrens tale.
'Sleep or the gula dragon will come and nibble off your toes~', one may say. However, the existance of the Gula is no tall tale nor light matter- they are real, and they are ravenous. While there are a good number of gula able to deny their hunger for the flesh of others, there are many who made history as the most vile and prolific of killers. However, to many, Gula look no different from any other dragonfolk- even some dragonfolk may have difficulty sorting them out from a crowd.
While a real threat, Gula's are not the hardest to understand. They truly do grow in power whenever they consume the flesh of an intelligent being, a bit of that being's essence becoming infused with the teifling, and any who manage to survive the gorging of a Gula may wind up becoming one themselves- and carrying the Gula's blood in their lineage from then forth. Being draconic in nature also causes the Gula to grow each time they indulge, meaning that each indulgance is a risk and makes them more noticable to those around them.
