Sky Compass

Navigation is hard in the sky. Ordinary Skydwellers use constellations to navigate, but for people like Charters, that isn't enough. That is why Sky Compasses exist. A small sphere, usually on a necklace chain, with a small compass needle inside that's able to rotate around. If you've seen the Harry Potter movies, then you'll know it looks very similar to Hermionie Granger's time turner. Of course, the compass needle isn't any old compass needle. It's enchanted to point back to a specific Sky City. Deep in each City's Archives is a small metal cube. The Compass will point back to that.
