Algar, Mother of Dragons. Algar is the dragon God of Life and Nature. Algar raised the other dragon gods and is the oldest living creature. She is most associated with animals and instincts.

Holidays

Algar is celebrated in greater amounts than normal during the moon of birth. Many cultures have festivals, holidays, or other celebratory gatherings during this time but it varies by culture.

The Elves have a closer relationship to Algar, and their faith in her is much stronger than most others. They hold prayer and ceremony to Algar each moon when the moon is fullest.

Physical Description

Body Features

Algar's scales that cover her body are a forest green. Her claws are an earthy dark brown, and a pair of large sage colored horns sprout from her head like the branches of a tree.

Facial Features

Algar's facial structure despite being a dragon is gentle and matronly. Her eyes hold a perpetual warmth and protective gaze

Identifying Characteristics

Algar's most notable feature is that of her presence. She is one of very few, if any, dragons that when you gaze upon her you feel safe enough to approach without fear.

Personal history

According to history, Algar is the first created Dragon God, and the oldest that still lives. Created by Valunthaal during the age of titans, Algar eventually raised the first generation of the dragon gods from the eggs left by Tiamat and Valunthaal's mutual destruction.

Algar maintains the most Clerics of all the gods, because of this the number of paladins she empowers is fairly limited in comparison to her overall number of followers. Algar chooses most of her paladins by finding creatures that once opposed her beliefs, but went through a change of heart and began truly believing in the power of life.
