A coyote -- Guadalupe's family was new to the region, having immigrated from the central countries. She was quiet, a bit of a wallflower, and rather homely. Emilio, of course, plucked her up immediately. Guadalupe, a painter, contributed several of the pieces which now hang in the Skelleyville museum. Paintings that aren't shown there are ... paintings of a more unsettling nature.
Whispered rumors at the time suggested Guadalupe saw strange things when she painted, or that she harnessed otherwordly methods, but nothing was ever proven. After her husband's death, Guadalupe disappeared, leaving her children behind.
