Clerics of Denara

Every established town, village, and city of Sifhelm has at least one Cleric of Denara that lives amongst the populace. Their role is to care for the victims of the Swamp, the Leached, when they appear outside of the town or city. They are healers and counselors that are specially trained to help victims regain their sense of self, vitality, and memories after their ordeal. Since the Swamp is constantly moving locations and its movements are unpredictable it is of the utmost importance that every town or city has a Cleric in residence to aid the Leached and even the citizens. The secondary task that Clerics are given is to record information about the Swamp. When it appears, how often do Leached leave the Swamp, how close does the Swamp get to the town / village / city, are there any reports of disappearances before, during, after the Swamp appears.
It is important to understand that Clerics of Denara worship the scholarly goddess Denara but are not missionaries to try and convert the citizenry. Denara established the first Clerics and charged them with caring for the people of Sifhelm.
Clerics are stationed in 1 town / village / city for 2 to 3 years before being rotated to a new post. This rotation allows for training, and alleviates burn out, especially for Clerics in the more remote areas of Sifhelm. It is not uncommon to see more seasoned Clerics with an Novice for 3-6 months before the Novice is transitioned to another populace for continued training. Novices will train for 3-4 years in the capital of Sifhelm before spending 1-2 years under direct tutiledge of Clerics stationed amongst the towns and cities of Sifhelm.

Structure

3 High Clerics make up the highest rank and leaders of the organization. This position is more about maintaining the standing of the Clerics and political issues.
Master Clerics are those that train the Novices in the city and manage the Clerics that are stationed throughout Sifhelm.
