Kurzunomiraidhonaki's Resurrection
There's only one being in this universe that can bring people back from the dead, and he probably won't do it. I mean, you could always ask, but I fear you'll be disappointed by the reply.
Bringing someone back from the dead should be impossible - but impossible doesn't always apply to dragons. There is one being who is able to bring someone back, and that's Kurzunomiraidhonaki the dragon. The only trick is to talk him into it, since he won't resurrect anything without a damn good reason to do so.
Effect
The spell will bring almost any being back to life after death by healing post-mortem damage to the body and calling the soul back into it. The spell is always successful if restrictions doesn't apply - see the sidebar for information on this spell's restrictions.
Side/Secondary Effects
As any type of healing spell, being resurrected is painful. The longer it has been since the death of the being, the further the death processes in the body have progressed. All these processes will have to be fixed before the soul can reenter the body, and the aftermath of fixing dead and possibly decaying muscle mass will leave the muscles quite sore when the being awakens. Luckily the body is dead while the actual repairing process goes on, since the all-consuming agony could be too much for a tired soul to handle.
The worst pain from being resurrected isn't from the aching muscles, however. It's from blood suddenly rushing through body parts where no blood has been rushing for a while, rendering the whole body with the needles and pins from waking up. It's from lungs suddenly being filled with air as the being draws a frantic deep breath to get vital oxygen into the system.
It takes a while before the being can comprehend that it's being awake, as the overwhelming feeling of being alive and in agony together with blurry vision from eyes just getting their functionality back makes it hard to think. The brain also needs some time to get used to being used again, starting with the most vital functions first before moving to less needed functions like full consciousness.
There is a period of weakness and sluggishness after being resurrected as the body and mind adjusts to working again. This period will vary in length after the general health of the being before death, and how long it has been dead before being resurrected.
Manifestation
As soon as the caster begins, a strange, low-pitched sound will begin. The droning begins at an almost inaudible volume, getting louder until it feels like your whole being vibrates from it through the process of the spell. A glowing red light surrounds the being, starting from the claws of the caster and spreading out until it covers the whole deceased body. The light intensifies to a level that is almost painful to look at, before abruptly being sucked into the body as the being violently draws its first breath, finally alive. The droning lingers for a little while after the spell is done, until it fades into silence.
Time and Decay: There is a certain time limit to how far after death the body can be resurrected. Mostly this is due to decay or being eaten by parasites or predators. While most damage can be repaired through the magic power in the spell, the most devastating damage can't, like actual missing limbs. If something ate your liver you won't get it back, since at least a small piece of the organ needs to be intact to be repaired. Setting a specific time limit is impossible, since there are so incredibly many factors that can change how long it will take to render a body unable to resurrect. Temperature, moisture, microbial activity and wildlife will all affect the decomposition time.
The Caster: Kurzunomiraidhonaki's moral code about resurrection will also play a large part in the probability of a successful resurrection. The dragon will most likely simply refuse to resurrect the being as long as there isn't an extremely good reason to bring the being back to life.
The Soul: If the soul is somehow destroyed or has passed on to the next life, resurrection is impossible.
The Divine: If Belinda, Goddess of Death won't release the soul for whatever reason, the spell fails.
