Ganaluna Leatherworks

That quiver looks like it's falling apart. Tell you what, go over to Ganaluna and see if they can fix it. Better yet, buy one of their quivers - you won't have to worry about the craftsmanship with a Ganaluna leather item. They last longer than a human.

Services and Prices

Ganaluna Leatherworks will both mend old leather items if possible and produce new ones. They do even make custom leather items as long as they think they can make a design that works. Small personal alterations are either cheap or free, depending on how much extra time and material it will use, and larger alterations will first be considered if they're possible or not, and later priced from complexity and used time and materials.

Regarding pricing in general, Ganaluna products are slightly more expensive than their competitors, but their quality is exceptional, even by Enari standard, and the higher price tag is usually worth it.

Products

Ganaluna Leatherworks produce everything that's made of leather, including but not limited to book covers, footwear, armor, quivers and saddles. They are the main manufacturers of saddles for both Plains Griffins and Enari Forest Cats, as both these creatures need highly specialized saddles for their body shapes that don't interfere with their movement.

History

Exactly when the Ganaluna Leatherworks were opened is unknown, but it's not unlikely that their first workshop was opened before the Elders arrived in the world. This means it has possibly been in business for more than 2100 years. What is known is that it's the oldest leatherworks in all of Enarion, and most likely in all of Shireon as well.

In the beginning there was one workshop in the now old part of Thalor Alari. The business grew through the years as more people realized how high quality goods they produced, and now there are five workshops in Thalor Alari alone, as well as at least one workshop in every large city in Enarion.

Apprentices

Due to the high level of craftsmanship of the Ganaluna products, only the best leatherworkers are allowed to work on their products. This doesn't mean that only the best can work in their workshops. There are always some apprentices around, doing the boring jobs like cleaning and maintenance as payment for being able to see the really good leatherworkers at work, ask questions and try their hands on some products that are easy to make. Apprentice made products are scrutinized for fatal flaws afterwards and sold at a lower price if they're good enough (but not as a Ganaluna branded product in case it might fall apart and weaken the brand name), and the experienced leatherworkers will give constructive criticism about the apprentice's work both during the production and when the product is done.
