Edine is in good shape despite being plus size. She's not very fast, but she is very strong and good at hiding. Additionally she's good at communicating with animal demons and fighting them (if necessary). She's good with a crossbow and wrestling.

Her Abuela taught her regular academic subjects like math and English, and also taught her how to fight nature Demons. For highschool she enrolled in the town's public highschool along side Marquin.

History

Edine and Marquin have been best friends and lived on the same farm since birth. Their mothers were both pregnant at the same time (coincidentally). They're complete opposites and basically soulmates. They're the ying to the other's yang kind of thing. They complete each other, they're part of each other and make each other happy.
Over the years they've had a lot of fights, varying in severity. But they've always been able to make up. So when they have a fight at the beginning of the first book Marquin isn't as worried as she should be.
