Lazadeen Empire

The Lazadeen Empire emerged from the invasion of Arcanum  by seafaring people from the east. As they faced resistance, they were gradually forced to retreat to the southern territories. Undeterred, the Lazadeen people expanded further into the uncharted south, assimilating diverse elements of culture, traditions, religion, and warfare tactics. Establishing a formidable presence along the southern coastlines, the Lazadeen Empire harbored ambitions to access the lucrative northern and eastern trade routes. However, despite their expansive reach, they were thwarted in their attempts to conquer the kingdoms in those regions. Faced with this limitation, the Lazadeen Empire turned its focus to exploration, leading to the discovery of the Shattered Isles  and the Everwild Frontier . 
These newfound lands marked a turning point for the Lazadeen Empire, triggering technological advancements and a departure from old traditions in favor of artificer technologies and perilous experiments. While the last century saw a period of relative peace with other Arcanum races, the empire persisted in the abhorrent practices of slavery and genocide against the Everwild races, a stark contrast to the evolving values embraced by the rest of the Arcanum.
