Causes

Mechanism exposure is a defense against human's tampering with the Mechanism's purpose, to defend from the creatures outside while keeping them extant inside. It has several methods to achieve that, but the first major tool in its arsenal is its aura. This aura will seriously debilitate most humans very quickly unless they have resistance.

Symptoms

The aura mimics the effects of both high altitude conditions and extreme vertigo. thus, those exposed feel light headed, nauseous and slowed thoughts as the brain is subjected to a lower amount of oxygen. the stomach is described as 'flipping', making victims vomit in near all cases.

Treatment

• Step one, remove the afflicted from the area


• Wait until the body is back to normal


• Get the affected something to eat and fluids, as they have probably vomited

Prevention

Avoid areas where the Mechanism hangs lower to the ground or the barbs that pierce the earth.

Epidemiology

The condition only exists near the mechanism thus, it cannot spread.

History

The first recorded instance occurred when the first barb, which landed near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River, was discovered by a Rusian surveyor. He had mistakenly approached the object and was subjected to the effects near instanlty. He went back to the government raving about the spear from god and the cursed air around it, but he was dismissed as crazy until seven other surveyors found the barb and reported the same thing.
