Zix'base
At the base of Zix'Muro there is a small village. Though it doesn't appear as a bustling trade hub it is one of the most important villages in the zebra lands. All supplies that the Zecix need come though these markets before being sent up the mountain and the rare herbs, books, gems, and enchanted items they create come down the mountain. The village has a large market in the center surrounded by small cottages. These in turn have a high wall made from shaped logs that are sharp at the top and crisscrossed with designs.
Demographics
Zebra of all tribes, except for Xivix.
Government
Elders from several tribes watch over the village and monitor resource flow up the mountain. Theft, deceit murder, and other standard things are outlawed and enforced heavily. The village serves as a neutral zone and any crime is dealt with swiftly and with the highest punishments. Taxes are few as the majority of structures are privately owned.
Defences
A high wall of cut logs and two gates on either side of the village. The back of the village is against a mountain preventing attacks from behind. The villages higher up the mountain serve as a deterrent for any would-be attackers as they house the Zecix tribe members. Although largely peaceful if provoked the members of this tribe are skill martial artists with innate magic that further enhances their abilities.
Industry & Trade
Food, herbs, tools, clothes, and raw materials come from the east. Rare herbs, copies of books, gems, and enchanted items come down the mountain.
Infrastructure
The roads are paved with stone. Sewers run below the homes and are regularly washed out by run off from the mountain. Food comes from the nearby river, numerous personal gardens, and from trade. The primary attractions are the market and the gate to the mountain trail. Blacksmiths, tanners, etc work in the town making tools from the raw materials brought in.
Assets
Most families have several artifacts and all have weapons and armor of some form. There is enough food to last a harsh winter but nothing more. In truth the village is not very rich due to its largely barter economy.

History
As the zebra left their home the Zecix started to expand as well. They quickly outgrew their single village and realized they could not lose their connection to the other tribes so this village was established to keep them connected to the world and supply them with what they needed.
