VtM: Shards of Midnight Session 9 Report

General Summary

Last time in Shards of Midnight we had a rather small party. While the rest of the group was doing whatever. Rhys finally tells fellow priests Odella and Aldia the true purpose of the group: to be able to obtain the retrial for Matthieu. Though the name is familiar, the newly formed A-Men realized that this is the case that has caused the international crackdown on Astrian portals via mirror. Odella is able to tell that she briefly knew Matthieu and Vayle, as she did associate with the family he was a part of: the vampiric Araignees. This encourages the A-Men to speak to Luicine on the matter. Walking in, Agma informs the group that Rakyon is an Abyssal creature and after briefly speaking to him, they speak to Luicine. While the group tries to get information out of the poker-faced woman, Aldia is only able to determine that she feels emotional when Alliaster is mentioned to take over the circus, as she explains that the previous owner’s brother died and then died not too long after. After learning a method to get rid of the concerning amount of eyes, the group is able to recover a piece of evidence they missed which is a letter one of the lead actors, Raginolf, wrote to his mother which has notably terrible handwriting. After praying to Yonca at her shrine and obtaining one magpie, the group fucks with the other mirror. They wander into a tower of dolls and find a table that contacts the gods, along with a piece of Chaoxing in the upper floors. Everyone talks to a god except Simon, who talks to a ‘saint.’ Afterward, one bluejay is obtained.
