Kawa no Kuni (Kawa Province)
Shosuro Lands
A province ruled by the Shosuro Family in the western reaches of Rokugan. The River of Gold, Kawa no Kin, runs across the region's western edge, separating it from the Plains of Thunder and Shinomen Mori.
Although the ruling family's capital, Shiro no Shosuro is located at its northernmost point, the remainder of the province is largely rural. Across the Howling Fields, too many farming villages and rice paddies to count are arrayed. Each does its duty in filling the Empire's stomachs, steadfastly ignoring the ominous groan of the wind which gives the area its name.
