Turkish Archery
Turkish Archery has two unique combat actions: Jarmakee
and Majra. Jarmakee is a balanced stance allowing
the archer to shoot from behind the head to give a
better angle without exposing herself to an opponent.
Majara is overdrawing; using shorter arrows with an accompanying
tool. The intent, as the story goes, is that
the opponent then couldn’t use the arrows to fire back.
There are few practitioners of Turkish Archery, with
most people preferring firearms and smartlinks, but
there are still tournaments held in Istanbul.
