The spellcaster must achieve enough hits to beat the item’s Object Resistance Table (p. 295, CRB) Only
one limit may be altered at a time for any particular piece
of gear. Each net hit achieved increases or reduces the
target’s selected inherent limit by 1, to a minimum of 1.
Increase Gear Limits increases the limit of a subject
while Decrease Gear Limits decreases the limits of a target.
