The “Heaven’s Piece” Job   [Tags] Alpha took a job from the Halloweeners to “toy” over some “art” that was thrown-up in their neighborhood. The Halloweener’s “writer” had been injured when the Cutter’s had come in to paint the invasive “art”. This “piece” was high up along the I-94 overpass. So the Halloweeners came to Alpha to his crew “to toy” over the rival “art”. Tags needed help from the “crew” [Zipline and Alpha] to safely get to the offending graffiti, to help protect the “piece” while its being “written”, and to help Tags “write”. “Putting up” this “heaven’s piece” will gain Alpha favor with the Halloweeners and gain fame for Tags.   “Piece” is a term for high quality/complicated graffiti. “Heaven” is a term for a very visible and tough to get place, often involving some danger (called ‘heaven’ because people die working on art in these locations). “Crew” is a term for a team of graffiti “writers”. To “Toy” is to “tag over your shit”.   [Zipline] [Condition: False Memories] At least, that was the plan. Zipline was able to easily get Tags to the bridge. The graffiti is a gorgeous piece that inspires awe to this day. However, the legend attributes the work to someone name “Zags”, who may or may not even exist.   [Alpha] Because Tags realized something when he looked at the Cutter’s art—if he overwrote it completely, it would just start a game of tit-for-tat that would probably turn violent. It needed to stop instead. The “crew” came up with the idea to merge the rival piece with the new, incorporating elements of both. And to sign it, since it was really a collaboration between Tags and Zenith, the Cutter’s artist, it was signed “Zags”. It took some negotiation by Alpha, but he was eventually able to sell the idea to the Halloweeners AND the Cutters. To this day, an informal but inviolate “peace” has stood in the street under the “piece”. When the local gangs need to parley, this is where they come.   There is no beefing in Zag’s Heaven…
