Ms Myth Character in Shadowrun: Englewood | World Anvil

Ms Myth

Ms. Myth’s father was a janitor who tried to teach his baby girl a work ethic, a willingness to clean every corner of a filthy building for honest pay, and corporate loyalty. Her mother was a restaurant server, who did her best to teach her daughter that sucking up paid well, long hours meant fair pay, and service with a smile beat service with good food.   Instead, Myth learned that sometimes you’ve got to get your hands dirty, that janitors have access to every nook and cranny of a secure facility, and that smiling made people more scared of you than frowning did. She ran the streets, rather than letting the streets run her. Hustling, plotting, and planning were Myth’s keys to urban success, and she only fell back on her trollish brawn when all else failed. Smarter than she looks and more charming than anyone ever expected, Myth’s spent years navigating the Chicago shadows, playing multiple sides in the great game; sometimes working as a fixer, other times as a runner, and even others as a corporate freelance troubleshooter on mid-term retainer.   Myth will lie—with a smile—to almost the whole world to see a job done smoothly and professionally, with only a few exceptions. She’s always honest and realistic when wooing an extraction target (kidnapping gigs aren’t her style), and she’ll never, ever, lie to her team - which currently are considered Chicago's Prime Runners. Coydog, Sledge, and Strider know she’ll do what’s best for them and shoot straight, and in turn Myth knows they’ll always give her their best. And she picked them herself, so she knows how good their best is.   Coydog, the coyote street shaman initiate
Strider, the initiated dwarf parkour adept
Sledge, the ork street samurai with experimental tech
Plan all the time. Talk when you can, fight when you must.
