Kix Character in Shadowrun: Englewood | World Anvil

Kix

Northside’s got some of the meanest streets in Chicago. Kix came up from there, deep in the camps set up after the towers fell, near enough to an elven ghetto to have ugly neighborhood race relations, but not deep in the heart of the pointy-eared district where her metatype would bring safety in numbers. She had the worst of both worlds. She learned to run, and parkour was a way to be able to get away from the people who always seemed to want to give her a beat down. But it didn’t take long until she knew the only way out was to stop taking it and start dishing it out.   She started with knives, the gutter-cheapest way to escalate a confrontation wildly past the level of an open hand or closed fist. Her quickness made her a natural, and her eagerness to inflict damage married nicely to her physical ability. It wasn’t long before she opted for implanted blades—she’d never be disarmed or disadvantaged again—and once the augmentations started, they didn’t stop until she was the leanest, meanest thing on the streets.   She eventually settled on Kix as a street handle— since aside from her slicing and dicing, she’s mean on her implanted wheels—and it didn’t take her long to build a name and a rep. These days, the Northside recognizes that she's not just a shadowrunner, she's the queen of parkour. But she's heard that there's a physical adept down in Englewood that might be almost as good as her. Yeah, that's worth checking out.
Your rep is all you've got. Live up to it.
