Borderline Character in Shadowrun: Englewood | World Anvil

Borderline

A child of mixed British and Algonquin parentage, Borderline didn't fit in Englewood. Still, she grew up in the Aztech Tenement Dome. Englewood wasn't kind to her growing up, and at twelve she marched over to Normal 69 and declared her desire to join the First Nations. It didn’t turn out how she expected—but it made her strong. Strong enough to steal food for her siblings. Strong enough to deal with anyone who threatened her. Strong enough to blackmail a street doc into upgrading her body.   After ten years of running with the 'Nations, she was the baddest razorgirl in Englewood. She stands on the edge of two worlds: the broken world of the Englewood and the world outside. Running the shadows has broadened her perspective. She still had ties to the First Nations, but her world has expanded beyond them. And then the Second Valentines Day Massacre happened. She was one of the few First Nation OGs left standing. She stopped shadowrunning, and took to looking after the gang full time. And now, she's the shot caller. She's going to protect her gang, and make it stronger than it ever was. And she's going to make the people behind the Massacre pay.   Borderline has managed to recruit and train up a pretty solid line up of OGs. Their Shaman, a guy named Sotero, had gone way dark since the Massacre, but in recent months he's come to better know his totem, and even if he hasn't found peace, nobody's saying that he's about to go Toxic anymore. A Rigger that goes by Quetzl and a Hacker called Arana have Borderline's back. DJ Paco and and a dwarf named Adelita round out their OGs, and are both doing their bits to keep the peace. The odd OG out is a physical adept who goes by Ogresa, who's chomping at the bit to take come Cutter scalps.   It sucked being in the middle, it sucks worse being at the bottom. Sure, the First Nations are still one of the big four in Englewood, but everybody knows that they're the bottom of the big four. There's a truce with the Cutters, but bad blood runs deep, and it just feels like their war was cut short. They're standoffish with the Halloweeners, but Borderline feels like she can do business with the Almighty Saviors.   The end of the First Nations in Englewood came not with another war, but with a calm meeting between the Halloweeners and the Almighty Saviors. They decided that Englewood would run better with three than with four, and set up a plan to lure Borderline back into Shadowrunning, and absorb the members of the 'Nations into their gangs. And, it worked. Sotero, Quetzl, and Arana followed Borderline, stepping up from the gang life into shadowrunning. DJ Paco and Adelita joined the Almighty Saviors. And Ogresa joined the Halloweeners.   Sotero
