Lysha (/liˈji/)

<i class="ra ra-gemini"></i> Jester
Many are surprised to learn that Lysha is nearly worshiped by the powerful of Tvus, seeking their approval and dreading the lash of their impossibly quick wit. But this patron of bards and merrymakers holds the unexpected weapon of laughter. For who can respect the king or even one as great as an empress who is reduced to a laughingstock?
True to form, Lysha makes light of their power in public, apparently enjoying every bit of their task of bringing joy to others. It is said that they can find humor even in the darkest of moments. Because of this reputation, Lysha is less respected and feared, but more loved than many of the other Great Ones.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Lysha is motivated by a fierce drive to fight for happiness and laughter in a dark world. On the surface, this looks like a longing to live life in the present, prioritizing the present moment over either the future or the past. But there is a deeper need here, in that Lysha finds that life loses its essence if it looses all hope of joy.
Lysha believes that joy must have a center that allows it to endure far beyond simple happiness or fleeting pleasure. For Lysha, that center is a deep sense of community with the other dragons first, the Vet'vus of Tvus second, then all things.
Finally, they are also driven to wield humor as a weapon against the powerful. They have taken many bards as apprentices, teaching them the art of king-making through storycraft and satire. Some of the most powerful shulte in all time have not been great rulers or royals, but the salty song-spinner who can dethrone emperors and raise up a foundling in their place. Few things delight Lysha more than the dusk, then dawn, of dynasties all due to a hilarious lampoon of a tyrant.

Vices & Personality flaws

It is hard for Lysha to not get lost in their own play, shirking responsibility and becoming stuck in an eternal present. This makes it hard for them to plan ahead or even remember the mistakes of her past.
But if she is able to ground herself, she can bring herself to remember the deeper why's beneath her play. Unfortunately, slowing the chaos often also comes with bouts of severe sadness as she sees the horror and darkness of reality. Generally, this drives her to redouble her efforts to remind people of the joy of living, but sometimes she needs help to refind her center. Often Donyo is their anchor here, but other times it has been simple acts of kindness from unexpected sources.
Loss of self-control and the inability to assume responsibility towards anything

Personality Quirks

It is said that Lysha can find the humor in all things, but that when they cry all the worlds weep to join their distress.
They are known to become upset if people don't take them seriously when they are not joking. They also become irritable if people try to make jokes at the expense of the wounded or the weak.
Lysha's favorite type of joke are the sort of horrible jokes that 12 year old shulte males find funny. They love to tell them, especially the long ones that never seem to end, when the dragon feels that people are being to serious and full of themselves.
