General Summary

Dead Life sucks at music and their producers, Josif Radek and Sergei Malenkin of Eclipse Records decided they needed the mentorship of the powerful heavy metal shaman: Duke Deep. Two problems: He's dead and someone stole his corpse. The runners are hired to find Deep’s spirit and convince him to teach these kids how to rock.

Things get weird quick. Deep’s spirit was very active and very angry at the cultists that stole his skull. Offering the aid of his considerable magic power, Deep agreed to help these kids out if they could retrieve his skull. They find and dismember the cultists exhuming more bodies, but the skull had been taken to a ritual on Mt. Rainer, which now has a giant skull carved into it for some reason.

The pilot Lancer gives them a lift across the lava fields and upon entering the skull’s glowing maw, they pass through a rift into the Metaplane of Shadow. They battle a penumbral beast in the fiery dungeons of the Blood Moon, destroyed an infernal machine run by cybernetic gremlins within canyons of the Black Moon, escaped a mega-gremlin as they rode a train through a tunnel of bone on the Pale Moon and into the frozen jungle of the Wild Moon infested with faceless horned bats. It was pretty fucking Metal.

The cultists has set up a ritual within a crater upon the obsidian mountains of Desh’Veroi, chanting around a wicker-man filled with the dead. As the ritual completed, a pale smoke filled the wicker man and the corpses tore their way out of their cage. The runners faced a horde of zombies before killing the cultist and escaping out the rift back into Seattle with Deep’s skull in tow. Returning to the Eclipse, Deep sees what a mess he has to clean up and possesses the lead singer, announcing the bands new name is Deathless Rage as he uses his magic to compel the band to rock harder than they ever had. Deep reprimands Josif and Sergei for never coming to visit his grave and demands they give the runners a cut of the new album when it goes on sale.
