Shogun's Eleven

General Summary

The runner team talks and decks their way into the Royal Ronin Casino to loot its vault. They discover the casino doubles as a nest of Yakuza vampires, who are getting a regular supply of living comatose bodies from the Laésa syndicate. The victims are reprogrammed with Personafix chips to act as prostitutes and pit fighters. Those that aren’t are drained of their blood. The runners manage to download a cool half a million nuyen from the vault, but not before rousing the vampire brides of Kodama Bakemono and the intrigue of the Laésa Prince Magwyn. Bakemono lost his casino as it burned to the ground, but he gained several new enemies to take vengeance on. The runners easily talked their way past the responding Lone Star officers and the Knight Errant HTR copter was still on the horizon as the runners rode away with their loot, Vola giving the looming vampire boss the finger from her Harley.

Kodama Bakemono is a vampire and had a coven of vampire concubines.
Tongue-Cutter Tom has fallen into Magwyn's debt after the events of Cooler Heads.
When someone fails to pay off their debts to Magwyn, she overdoses them with laés and sells their braindead husk to the highest bidder.
The Laésa have been selling laés victims to the vampires of the Royal Ronin. They were either drained of their blood or reprogrammed as bunraku girls or pit fighters for VIP entertainment. Tongue-Cutter Tom and his crew had gotten stuck transporting crates full of these bodies for Magwyn.
Merrick was one such victim. He had been programed with an advanced kung fu skillsoft.
Magwyn was at the Royal Ronin meeting with a "Mr. Tanaka." A pseudonym popular in Japan for those who wish to remain anonymous, the equivalent of "Mr. Johnson."
O'dundin proved a better distraction with the elvish witch than anyone expected (nat 20!) and she became very interested in him.
