Mr. Johnson
Anonymous Client
Mr. Johnson is a term, the anonymous corporate employers of Shadowrunners call themselves. - It is a nickname like the names used by runners to conceal his true identity and the one of the corporation he works for. It's a game which is played on both sides of the table and any runner worth his credstick knows the (unwritten) rules.
Mr. Johnson is usually a gender neutral moniker in order to add to the anonymity of the client. Mrs. or Ms. Johnsons are not uncommon, but even this may be a ruse.
While in North America "Mr. Johnson" is the common name, other names are used in other parts of the Sixth World. Examples include Mr. Tanaka in Japan, Mr. Smith in Great Britain, Señor Hernández in Aztlan, and Mr. Wu in China.
Here is a list of Mr. Johnsons whom have hired the runners but have not been identified.
