Beifong Railways
Beifong Railways is a subcontractor of the powerful Beifong Steelworks Group. The company is famous for its high-speed rail network of the Earth Republic and Republic City. The company makes its money from ticket sales and the construction and repair of trains, tracks and stations, which are operated by Fire Railways in the Fire Nation, for example, but the trains and infrastructure come from Beifong Railways.
Although traveling by express train is significantly cheaper than by flying satos, it is still unaffordable for a large proportion of the population, firstly because you need a valid ID and secondly because the price of a single journey is thousands of yuan-yen.
Structure
As with most companies of its size, Beifong Railways has an efficient management structure in which promotion is virtually impossible. Rumors of internal rivalry with the other subcontractors are spreading through the networks and among the residents of Ba Sing Se, despite censorship efforts.
Assets
Beifong Railways owns more than 100 trains. In addition, there are maintenance vehicles, trucks and the vehicles of the group's own security company.
Rumors about the ownership and operation of armed armored trains persist, but have neither been substantiated nor refuted.
History
With the invention of the magnetic levitation train 171 AG by the inventor Varrick, a forerunner of today's lines was built. Many years later, Earth Republic Railways was founded as a state-owned company. In 1247 AG, the company was bought by the fledgling Beifong Steelworks group and privatized. After some restructuring, the Beifong Railways subgroup was formed, as it still operates today.
