The Dawnite
Often seen meditating precariously at the edge of Fractals, or standing open-armed at the bows of Skyships flying directly into a rainstorm - the Dawnite are a group of believers, thinkers, and spiritualists that have formed a pseudo-religious tribe spread across multiple nomadic groups and individual travelers. Those who think less of this group would call them “cultists” or “fanatics” - though they don’t express violence against others outside of their belief. Dawnites are often seen wearing raiments of green and blue with light and loose fabric wrapped around them to catch the wind.
Nomadic in nature and by belief, groups of Dawnites create small canvas tent cities just on the outskirts of towns across the coastal settlements of the Imperial Fractals and Diaspora Fractals. While they are few in number, due to their constant travel, their blue-green tents are a common sight to any who live in cities along the coast - though Dawnites are rarely ever seen inland away from the edges of the Fractals. While they are inherently non-violent, some see these nomads as a burden on space or resources.
Many are adept scribes, following the practices of their revered Twelve Scribes, and are also capable craftsmen of leather and parchment. Their nomadic calling causes them to serve on many Skyships, favoring Raincatcher ships of the Stormcharter Guild, and many have the gift of augury to read the winds and predict weather - making them valued by Skyship captains. Though due to their belief in The Roil, they are often called “Storm Chasers”.
