The Golden Bones

The temple of the Morning Spires was robbed around midnight 2 nights ago by the Bloody Paw. A group of adventurers volunteered to go down into the sewers to retrieve the gilded bones of Saint Abathy, Lathander's patron saint of orphans. They have not returned and now the Sewer Rats have been called in to retrieve the bones and if possible the adventurers as well.

Goals

Primary Objective:

The Sewer Rats need to discover where the Bloody Paw hid the bones of Saint Abathy and return them to the Temple of the Morning Spires

Secondary Objective:

1. Discover the fate of the adventurers and return them or their remains to the City Watch
2. The City Watch is offering 1 gold dragon for every Bloody Paw member slain provided with proof
3. Kill or capture Hardnose Whiskers if possible

Stakes

The Temple of the Morning Spires is offering 1000 shards cash for the return of the bones or up to 2000 shards in healing/resurrection services as well as food and lodging as needed. The City Watch will offer 500 shards to whoever can return the adventuring party back to safety or have their remains returned as well as a 1 gold dragon reward for each member of the Bloody Paw slain with proof. There is also a 1000 gold dragon reward on Hardnose Whisker's head, dead or alive. Word on the street is Xanathar wants him dead and will offer 4000 gold dragons for proof of his demise.

Locations

The Temple of the Morning Spires is a massive beautiful temple dedicated to Lathander and is the resting place of several of his greatest champions and saints. The sewers below the temple are likely where the bones were taken as well as the adventuring party that followed after them.

Threats

The Bloody Paw, Hardnose Whiskers, various other aberrations and monsters that call the Waterdeep sewers their home.
