Nirvana, the Prime Self

Transcendence Through Dharma: The Path to the Prime Self

Created & Written by Khali A. Crawford | Self-Resurrection, Past Life Awareness, and Past Life Power Access articles from the Superpower Wiki

Effect

Past Life Power Access: The power to access the powers from past lives. The user can tap into and access any powers they had in their former/past lives, allowing them to wield powers they attained, borrowed, replicated or stole from a previous incarnation. Unlike Ancestral Merging, they don't merge with their past selves to access their powers.

Past Life Awareness: The power to allow the user to remember some/all of their past lives. Users have the power to remember some, or every one, of their past lives. The user can even remember every power from their past lives to use them.

Self-Resurrection: The power to resurrect oneself upon death. The user can revive themselves upon death either instantly or after some time. The user still dies, so it would be inaccurate to call them immortal, but their death is ultimately meaningless as they will respawn. Generally, this happens by returning to life in a position near their death, though some users may re-manifest in a specific location. This ability is not Absolute, however. Some users may still be able to meet their final deadline. Some users can be slain permanently by specific means, or when certain conditions are met.

A few concepts and ideas need to be touched on before Nirvana can fully be explained.

Magical Weight

Magical Weight is the metaphysical mass of a being’s Magic and SOUL, determining their magical presence, resistance, and interaction with Mana. Like gravity, it influences the potency of spells, resistance to external magic, and the ability to exert magical pressure. Magical Weight fluctuates through transformations, training, and alignment with one's Dharma, impacting access to certain realms and magical ecosystems.

The Relationship Between the SOUL, Magic, and Dharma

Magic originates from the SOUL, which acts as the conduit for magical energy. To wield Magic, one must possess a SOUL, and its strength is influenced by Dharma—an individual’s true path or destiny. Following one’s Dharma enriches the SOUL, increasing magical potential, while straying from it weakens both the SOUL and one’s Magic.

The SOUL, mind, and body form a triadic system, where strengthening one enhances the others. A well-balanced Mage nurtures all three aspects, leading to greater magical power. Using Magic further refines the SOUL, creating a cycle of growth, while neglecting physical or mental well-being can weaken both the SOUL and its magical capabilities.

The Prime Selfhood of Nirvana

The SOUL is infinite and unending, but upon death, it is reborn via reincarnation infinitely into different people and different lives in different forms forevermore. That is until the SOUL begins to follow its dharma. When a SOUL, throughout many lifetimes and forms, adheres to its own Dharma, its Truth, the "weight" of the SOUL becomes so heavy that it breaks the cycle of samsara and the person finally reaches Nirvana.

Reaching Nirvana means a person has found enlightenment via their dharma, where their own Truthfulness has reached a point where they are a truly unique being throughout all of space and time, becoming a Prime.

Applied Restriction

Primes are not Deathless, they can still be killed but they possess the ability to revive themselves if slain. That being said, if their SOUL was destroyed or vanquished, that would still "kill" them in the ways that matter.
