To earn the title Great Sage Throughout Heaven & Hell, one must possess the following abilities and titles:
Mastery of the 3rd Body Art: Hellbent & Heavensent
This spell allows a Mage to alter their very essence, enabling them to survive and function within the Holy and Unholy Multiverses. Mortals, bound by their atomic nature, are normally poisoned by the energy of these realms, as their bodies are incompatible with the pure Light of the Holy Multiverse and the oppressive Darkness of the Unholy Multiverse. However, through Hellbent & Heavensent, a Mage can transform their body, adapting it to safely exist in either Heaven or Hell, bypassing the natural incompatibility.
- In their Heavensent form, the Mage can wield Hallowed Magic, a fusion of Mana and Light. This form allows the Mage to channel the sacred energies of the Holy Multiverse, casting spells that are typically impossible for mortals to control due to the purity of the Light.
- In their Hellbent form, the Mage becomes attuned to Black Magic, a combination of Mana and Darkness, which only beings native to the Unholy Multiverse can harness. This form allows the Mage to tap into the terrifying power of darkness, manifesting abilities fueled by shadow and entropy.
What makes this mastery truly exceptional is that the Mage can now passively channel both Light and Darkness even when in their original, mortal form. This blending of celestial and infernal energies grants them access to a spectrum of magic that is impossible for most beings, firmly placing them beyond the confines of ordinary mortality.
Mastery of the 3rd Body Art: The Rite of Innumerable Transformations
A Mage who has mastered this ancient and powerful spell gains the ability to fully assume the form, powers, abilities, and capabilities of any being they choose. Unlike simple shapeshifting, which only mimics the physical appearance of the target, the Rite of Innumerable Transformations grants the Mage the complete essence of the target, including all magical, physical, and supernatural abilities.
- The Mage creates a Mold of the being they wish to transform into by obtaining a unique Relic soaked in the target’s magical energy. Once the Mold is created, the transformation can be invoked at will with minimal energy cost. The Mage can store up to 72 transformations internally, allowing them to access the powers of 72 different beings throughout their lifetime.
- Each form carries with it not only the power of that being but also an insurance against death. If a Mage should die, they can sacrifice one of their stored forms, cheating death in exchange for losing that transformation. In total, a fully mastered Mage can survive 72 deaths before their transformations are exhausted.
- When the Mage assumes a form, they inherit that being’s maximum magical energy capacity. This means that if the form they take has vast stores of magical energy, they can remain in that form for prolonged periods. However, once the form runs out of energy, the Mage will revert to their base form.
This spell allows the Mage to explore the full spectrum of existence, adopting and mastering the forms of celestial, infernal, and mortal beings alike. It is the ultimate expression of magical adaptability and survival, allowing the Mage to become an entirely different entity at will.
Prequalification as a Great Sage
In addition to mastering these two powerful Body Arts, the Mage must already hold the title of Great Sage, having achieved mastery in the following domains:
- Archmage of the Eightfold Path: Mastery of all Eight Schools of Magic (Divination, Necromancy, Conjuration, Enchantment, Illusion, Evocation, Alchemy, Abjuration).
- Doctor of the Renaissance Arts: Expertise in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, reflecting a balance of creativity and intellect.
- Martial Polymath of Many Forms: Mastery of various martial arts disciplines, demonstrating combat versatility and strategic brilliance.
- Sword Saint: Complete mastery of the Sword of Want, a metaphysical weapon forged from the wielder’s desires and will, capable of cutting through the fabric of existence.
